How to organize by simple steps
It's always hard to keep a home neat and organized, especially if you have kids. I put together some simple steps on how to organize that will make the whole process easier on you.
1. Analyze your situation.
If you just clean up today, and tomorrow is going to be the same old same old - you need more than just simple organizing.
You need to see the cause of the problem. Ask yourself why this keeps happening.
Create new family rules. For example, if the kids are making a mess in their room every day, give them a new chore. Have them pick up their room every night before bed. Show them how to organize.
A couple of tips to solve the problem:
a) Limit the number of toys that they can play with at the one time. When they put those back they can pick new ones to play with.
b) After they are done playing, they need to clean up all the toys.
You need to be very consistent and not give in. You'll see, after a while your kids will get used to it and will do the right thing, and organizing will be a breeze.
2. Find the right item to solve your problem.
For example, if you have too many pair of shoes in the hall, how about a shoe rack that you can place in the hall closet? Or maybe you need more of them, so everybody can have their shoes in their rooms? Do you want to put it on the door or on the floor?
There are so many different options, it can make your head spin.
