If you find any of them, you need to replace the glass.

Handles and locks
Check if all of them work. If not or they are missing, you should replace them. It is not a big expense and it shows buyers that your home is well taken care of.

Screens
Look for holes. If you have some, you need to replace them. Also, take off your screens and give them a good wash with a high powered window washer or use an old fashioned brush, which can do the job, too. It will make a big impact on your home’s exterior as well as it's interior. If you decide to take them off, do not throw them out. Store them in the basement or garage. The new homeowners may want to use them later on.

Cleaning
Give your windows a good washing inside as well as outside and see the big transformation. Your windows will look bigger and your rooms will look brighter because of the extra light that will come in.

Painting
If your home's windows are old and paint is peeling off, in some cases you can still save your windows by give them a fresh coat of paint. They will look like new.
